Music Widget

On the side of posts and the forum in general are a bunch of 'widgets' these are informational/fun things that I'm working on in the upcoming days.

Currently I'm working on one that's basically a large playlist that will be accessible to everyone registered. So if you have a song/band suggestion, just post it here and if it's available on the site, I'll include it in Very Happy

This thread will stay open for 2-3 days, then I'll find a place to permanently put this Smile

These are some bands that aren't heard of "often", but really should be counted in..

We Should Whisper!, City of Lions, Since October, and Timeflies

Some really good ones, more known..

Papa Roach, Pierce the Veil, Switchfoot, Gun's n Roses, Story of the Year..oh and Simple Plan<3

Hmm, it seems that the music widget may be more difficult to get going than I thought. It will end up being an ongoing project. It seems also that there's a rather small limit to the amount of music in which I can have (size wise), so I'll probably have a few that change off, or something. Unsure.

So it can fit on the left or right-hand side of the forum. So approximately... 180 pixels in width. The height isn't an issue, as we have a lot of space on both sides.

I'd suggest putting it on the right, we realy need to cover up some of that space Razz

Well, the way I see it is I can have the forum so the left side (just the forum itself where we post, etc, and the left-side where widgets are) or both the left and right (or alternatively we can do as I mentioned with the left, but just with the right instead). However, it doesn't make it any bigger on the one side if it's only one. Hopefully that made sense Yes

Basically, yea, there will be stuff on both sides, probably not covering as far as I'd like, but it'll be enough. Thinking of moving the "Shortcuts" widget I created to the right-hand side instead and leaving the "Navigation" one where it is. I might even make that one myself and include the same links it does, as it's in the same color as the forum's links so it's ugly when you click on it Razz

You should add a "hot topics" section too to the widgets thing, if possible
